few days ago, I stumbled quite by chance on the page Microsoft Web Platform Installer . What is it? Without having tested but based on info that are distilled in this mini site, it takes the form of an installer that will help you set up: The

And a whole bunch of open source web applications such as , BlogEngine.NET etc. ...
And hold you even though you will find applications that work with PHP (

- Personally all this makes me think of the initiatives that were launched there is a small ten years back with installers as EasyPhp
- and company ... Again, history repeats itself! but for once, I think it's a good thing. A quick question crosses my mind all of a sudden, we're not talking one second WSS in all this ... yet it may well do a bit of shade ... no?
